Privacy policy

This covers blogwriter.pro, your blogwriter account, the blogwriter Mac app, films, and every free tool on this site. Updated 3 October 2026.

The short version

  • Your writing is made on your own Mac, with your own Claude account. It is not sent to us, except when you share a review link or make a picture.
  • We keep what we need to run your account, like your email and how much you have used.
  • We don’t sell your data. We don’t show ads or follow you to other sites.
  • Email team@blogwriter.pro and we will delete your data.

Your account

You sign in with Google or with an email and password. Google Firebase handles the sign-in.

We keep your email, your plan, your usage (posts, pictures and keyword searches each month), and your payment IDs.

When you connect the Mac app, we give it a private key. We store only a scrambled copy (a hash) of it, and when it was last used.

Our team can see the account list: email, plan and usage. We use it to help you and to run the service.

Payments

Dodo Payments runs checkout. You type your card on their page; it never reaches us.

We send Dodo your email and what you are buying. They send us back a customer ID, a payment or subscription ID, and the email you paid with.

Emails we send

Sign-in codes, payment receipts, billing notices (a card failing, a plan ending, a website added) and film updates.

When you pay or order a film, our team gets a copy with your email, so we can help you.

We don’t send marketing emails. Resend delivers our emails.

The blogwriter Mac app

Stays on your Mac

  • Your drafts, research, client notes and reports.
  • Your passwords and keys for your blogs and CMS. They are kept in a private file on your Mac.
  • Voice typing. It runs on your Mac; we only download the speech model.

Goes to Anthropic, not us

The writing is done by Claude, through your own Claude account. Your drafts and prompts go from your Mac to Anthropic, under Anthropic’s terms. If you add your own AI keys, the app talks to that provider directly.

Reaches our servers

  • What you used: a count of posts and websites. We store scrambled names (hashes), not titles or text.
  • Pictures: the picture’s description, which the app writes from your post, passes through us to the picture service. We don’t store the description. The finished picture is stored with us so your post can show it.
  • Keyword searches: your seed keywords and country pass through us to Ahrefs.
  • Blog connections: where each project publishes, so your other Macs can use it. Never the password or key.
  • Review links: when you share a draft for review, the draft, the reviewers’ emails and their comments are stored with us. The link is protected by a passcode.

The app checks blogwriter.pro for updates.

Films

To order a film you give us your website, email, mobile number, optional name and a brief.

We read your website’s home and about pages to plan the film. Our team makes it with Claude, on our own computer.

Your film is stored with us; you download it through a private link.

Showcase: unless you untick it when ordering, your film goes on our public showcase and our YouTube channel, with your brand name and website. Your email and number are never shown.

To see the prompts behind showcase films, you give an email. We keep it, the pages you unlocked and the page you came from.

Free tools

Each tool is listed here with what it collects. When we add a tool, it gets its own section here before it launches, and the date at the top changes.

Find my keyword, and the Chrome extension

  • You sign in with your email; we email you a 6-digit code.
  • We keep your email, how many free and paid searches you have used, and each search with your email.
  • What you type, and the public text of a website you enter, goes to OpenRouter’s AI. Keywords and your country go to Ahrefs. Neither gets your email.
  • Answers are saved and shown to anyone who searches the same thing.
  • We count searches per internet connection, using a scrambled form of your IP address, to stop abuse.
  • The Chrome extension reads only the keyword you searched on Google. More: Chrome extension privacy.

DoFollow

  • DoFollow runs on your computer. Your product profile, submissions and directory accounts stay there. We have no copy.
  • Its AI is Claude, through your own Claude account. To fill a form it sends Claude the form’s questions, your profile and, when you ask it to read your site, your site’s public text.
  • Its Chrome extension reads forms on the page you are on, and sends them only to the DoFollow app on your computer.
  • Directories you submit to get what their forms ask for, under their own policies.
  • If you publish badges, we store the badge code for your site, so your pages can show it.

This website

We count visits with Vercel Analytics, and may also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies.

Your browser keeps a few things for you: your theme, that you signed in, your keyword-finder sign-in, pack and recent searches. Review links set one cookie for 12 hours.

Some blog posts show YouTube, Reddit, Instagram, X or TradingView. Those load from those sites, under their policies.

How long we keep it

Today we keep account, search and order records, and stored files, until you ask us to delete them.

Who is on the site right now is kept for about an hour. Anthropic, Google and our other providers keep what they handle under their own policies.

Your choices

  • See, correct or delete your data: email team@blogwriter.pro.
  • Sign out of the Mac app, the keyword finder or the extension at any time.
  • Keep your film off the showcase: untick it when you order, or email us later.
  • Block analytics cookies in your browser. The site still works.
